Quotes

TV/Film

"...The mix of score, with urban-beat choices by music supervisor Ian Neil, adds bounce throughout."
(Variety Magazine, 4.3.2.1)

"...zesty performances, glossy surfaces, smash cuts, rampaging score..."
(Hollywood Reporter, 4.3.2.1)

Emmy's Unicorn

"These are lushly dramatic homages to bruised hearts borne along by big sounds and insidious melodies. Neither Florence nor any of her machines can make a sound as alluring. Ace."
Kate - Top 5 track, Oct 2010.
(Adam Walton, BBC Wales Music Blog)

Mr Ronz - A War Of Nerves

"War of Nerves is a beautiful exploration of the deep reach of instrumental music at its melancholy, foreboding and unsettling best. In a parallel universe where DJ Shadow's ego still isn't eclipsing the sun this is the sort of music he is making: intelligent, sometimes freaky, always breathtaking."
(Helia Phoenix - Kruger Magazine)

"A War of Nerves is possibly Adam Lewis's finest moment. A concept package of sad pianos, stabbing funk and eerie synths, this will very easily sit alongside Jeff Wayne's 1978 'War of the Worlds' as a small child observing the sci-fi onslaught as opposed to overseeing it. *****"
(Ryan Heeger - Buzz Magazine)

"It's a confident, captivating combination of DJ Shadow-level nods to hip hop, and classical-leaning compositional explorations for film and television, propelled by a science-fiction undertow."
(Adam Kennedy - The Metro)

Album of the Week - "A sensory feast from Mr Ronz... This superb album, as its title suggests, is every bit the visceral experience. In this accomplished tapestry of rhythm and sound, each track evolves in its evocative toying with darkness and light. Lewis' seamless melding of disparate sounds is perfectly pitched and his unique musicality flourishes as a result. 4/5"
(Tom Lewis - The Big Issue)

"...symphonic, musical, cinematic and moving."
(Adam Walton - BBC Radio Wales)

Pick of The Month - "DJ Shadow level cinematic results with extra humanity"
(Adam Anonymous - Hip Hop Connection)

Arkane

"Arkanes blend of intelligent lyrics, infectious melodies and energetic, slick performance make them one to watch out for ..."
(bbc.co.uk)

"You know that feeling you got when you were 6 and your favourite song came on the car radio just after you had finished school on a Friday and suddenly you were in your own world imagining you were Marty McFly? This album takes you right back to the euphoria of Fridays on your hover board ..."
(Free Nation Magazine)
